Most RF treatment options available are based on older, traditional monopolar or bipolar radio-frequency technologies, all with the same, relatively simple goal. Perhaps most important of all, this needs to be done safely and without heating the upper layers of the skin too much, as this can lead to significant discomfort and/or risk of burning. These traditional RF devices and treatments are often limited in how deeply they can treat. Another limitation is where on the body the treatment can be performed, as many lack a variety of applicators to specifically target smaller or more delicate areas.

Unlike the monopolar or bipolar RF technology used by other devices, EndyMed uses multiple electrodes in each of the hand pieces that target different layers of the skin. Who can be treated, for what and where?

Endymed’s 3DEEP RF is delivered from an all-in-one platform that uses this unique technology in a variety of hand pieces, each one suited to a specific treatment area and outcome. During your consultation the clinician will determine which of these applicators is most suitable for your specific treatment. These applicators range from a contour hand piece designed with RF and vacuum to provide body contouring and cellulite reduction, to a smaller hand piece specifically designed to treat skin laxity in smaller body areas such as the neck, arms and knees. There is even the iFine hand piece, which specialises in the treatment of wrinkles and loose skin found in the delicate skin tissue around the eyes and mouth.

For advanced rejuvenation in deep wrinkles, stretch marks, skin roughness, hyperpigmentation and acne scars, fractional RF is available in two hand pieces, including Intensif RF Microneedling, for conditions that require deep dermal heating, and the Fractional Skin Resurfacing (FSR) hand piece.

How many treatments will be needed?

For non-fractional treatments in skin rejuvenation and tightening, a series of 6-8 treatments is recommended, once a week. Each treatment area typically takes 15-20 minutes.

For fractional treatments in deep wrinkles, stretch marks or acne scarring, most patients will receive a series of three treatments, once a month for three months.

Is there any downtime?

The non-fractional treatments mentioned above have no downtime. There may be a slight pinkish blush to the skin after the treatment and this usually fades after 1-2 hours. You can return to your daily routine immediately after the treatment.

 Thanks to the 3DEEP technology, advanced treatments using fractional RF also have minimal downtime. With Intensif treatments you can usually return to your daily routine the day after the treatment. With FSR treatments, you may have very fine crusting that will disappear after 3-5 days.
