Photo Rejuvenation and Photo Facials
Non-ablative photo-rejuvenation is used to improve the appearance, colour and texture of the skin without any downtime that could limit your work and social activities.
Numerous laser and light sources are used for non-ablative photo-rejuvenation and the different colours and wavelengths of light selectively target a certain structures or colours (chromophores) in the skin. The aim is to:
- Stimulate the production of new collagen in the skin
- Normalise certain vascular or pigments in the skin
- Plump up the skin,
- Improve skin texture, and / or,
- Smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Non-ablative photo-rejuvenation uses light sources that penetrate the skin to different depths without damaging the surface of the skin. The advantages of photo-rejuvenation are it is completely non-invasive and the recovery time is rapid.
While Photo-rejuvenation is effective for general facial rejuvenation deeper wrinkles may be better targeted by DOT Therapy and more advanced laxity on the face and neck may find Ultherapy provides a greater degree of improvement while still providing the benefits of non-surgical, no-downtime treatments.
